The Kaiser's playful side in Belle Brummell.

Kaiser Karl, sent out these eye raising and charmingly playful and youthful bags on the Chanel Fall 09 runway show tagged as Chanel Belle Brummell. I wonder if these bags will find their way into the stores, and if we'll see any home grown fashionistas carrying them. Perhaps it would be well advised to carry all your confidence with this bag.

Ditto and Bowles

Please view this video of the Gossip's performance at the Fendi party recently at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOOOOQRTKkg.

This is what Mr. Hamish Bowles had to say: "Having brought the house down with the spectacular 'Standing in the Way of Control,' Beth decided to execute a celebratory stage dive, a move that I can only describe as ill advised with a mosh pit comprising various supermodels and sundry fashionistos in aching want of a square repas[t]. In fact, as far as I could determine, there was a parting of the waves as the svelte and deeply panicked hordes flung themselves out of the oncoming path of the potential weapon of mass destruction that is la Ditto, and there was something closely resembling a resounding thud in place of the expected slap of flesh on expectantly upraised palms."

I just couldn't match Bowles' witty repartee. Little wonder that he won UK Vogue's talent contest back in the day.

Balenciaga shell back coat.

I can't decide if i love or hate the shell back / egg silhouette coat for men that Balenciaga did for fall 08. On the one hand its so nice to see boundaries being pushed, the freshness, the originality is so seductive; but on the other hand I just don't know if you average Joe can make this work. But then a Balenciaga coat is not for the average Joe. Can even the most fashion forward waify androgynous slimane-esq model boy thing pull this off?

A Dream!

It has always been my dream to shoot with Lakshmi and Prabuddha and finally it came true. This was shot in a run down Chateau one and a half hours from Paris, right after the SS09 Paris Fashion Week. She had 102 Degrees C fever and coughing like a mad dog but still was she was so so professional and a dream to shoot with.

Back to the Eighties

One of the biggest trend to have emerged from the A/W -09/10 collections, are we ready for some neons and leopard prints??
(Clockwise L-R: Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Balenciaga, Ashish, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Blumarine, Alexander Wang, Sridevi, Grace Jones, Dynasty)

Surprise Surprise!

Guess who popped up at the Givenchy show this season? None other our dear Ujju. I was quite surprised and happy to see Ujjwala Raut back on the runways. Not only her but Karen Elson, Ardriana Lima were there too. Are these girls coming back or is it just for Ricardo? We shall know soon. Of course Lakshmi Menon was there too, rumour has it that she did an
exclusive with Givenchy this season

Our very own Sean or Simon

Sean O'Pry and Simon Neeson are two of the biggest male models right now in the international circuit and who knew we had our very own look alike here in India. Karan Malik is with Elite India and I'm sure he's going to rock our boat soon. He's hot hot hot
